Request a crawl space visit
If water is standing under the house or a floor feels unsafe, call. For a musty smell, an old liner or a pre-purchase question, send the form and a local company will call you back.
Before you call
It helps to have:
- The address, so your request reaches a company that works there
- What you've noticed: a smell, water, sagging floors or a damaged liner
- Roughly how old the house is, if you know
- Whether you rent it out, live in it, or are buying it
- If you're under contract, your inspection or due diligence deadline
Floor dipping fast or water pooling under the house? Keep people and heavy furniture off the soft area, shut off power to any equipment sitting in water, and don't crawl under the house until it's been checked.
